The
PHILIPPINE AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS' ASSOCIATION was founded
on July 29, 1962 to promote and encourage the maintenance
and continued development of aviation and air traffic control
of the kind and quality required by the Commerce of the Republic
of the Philippines, the National Defense and public welfare.
We aim:
To conduct a professional and protective organization for the
Air Traffic Controller of the Civil Aviation Authority of the
Philippines and all other persons who are interested in the air
traffic control services and all necessary functions to enable
its members to maintain a high degree of proficiency.
To safeguard with ceaseless vigilance the safety of the aviation
industry in recognition of the high degree of public trust, confidence
and responsibility placed on the member of the PATCA.
To unite the members in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship
and mutual understanding.
To take active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral
welfare of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.
To consider and, if feasible, to make mutual benefit affiliations
with other associations of local or international jurisdictions.
To do any and all other acts consistent with and in furtherance
of the policies and purposes herein declared.
Our
main office is located at PATCA Office, Basement, Civil
Aviation Authority of the Philippines, 1300 Pasay City, Metro
Manila, Philippines.
Our chapters are formed associations of Air Traffic Controllers
in air traffic control facility of the Civil Aviation Authority
of the Philippines, throughout the 3 main island groups of the
Philippines and the National Capital Region.
These Chapters are arranged as follows:
National Capital Region headed by the National
Council Officers: Guild of Manila Aerodrome Controllers (GOMAC),
Manila Approach (MAPATCO), Manila Enroute Controllers
Association (MECCA), and the ATS/ORCC/CATC.
Luzon headed by the Vice Chairman for Luzon:
composed of Laoag/Vigan, Baguio, Subic, Clark/Plaridel,
Legaspi, and Puerto Princesa/Busuanga.
Visayas headed by the Vice Chairman for Visayas:
composed of Caticlan/Kalibo, Dumaguete, Mactan Tower,
Mactan Approach, Mactan ACC, Tacloban/Ormoc, Bacolod,
and Iloilo/Roxas.
Mindanao headed by the Vice Chairman for Mindanao:
composed of Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, General Santos,
Cotabato and Zamboanga.
